Hey There! It's 7:40 AM EDT, 69°F, Humidity 71%, Wind 7 mph NE, overcast
Another week begins. The project is due in 7 days. I'm beginning to feel the stress.
Yesterday after my morning routine I decided to buckle down and get some extra work in on the project. I am not good working alone and out of context, but I thought I'd give it a try nonetheless. I feel I made a little progress, and used DW as a stand-in for the female lead. But I think this week it's going to be better to put in the extra time with the FL before formal sessions. We both are going to need it in the next few days.
After that work session, I went ahead and started listening to the ball game, which turned out to be yet another loss. I had it on the radio, so I decided while it was going on to return a transom fan we bought from Home Depot. It just didn't seem to have the air flow we prefer. I don't know if we will get another one from someplace else. We can get by with what we have for the time being.
After the game I watched a video from a guy who did a complete rebuild of a Honda Element. It's not what I would choose, but he spent quite a bit of money - almost as much as he paid for the car itself - for the upgrades.
Dinner came along, and we had shrimp scampi with a salad. The original plan was to grill the shrimp, but DW asked if I would like scampi instead, since the weather has broken and it's not so hot in the kitchen. Good stuff.
After dinner I tested out an AI from Proton, thinking that it would be far more secure and private than anything else out there. I'm not much of an AI fan due to its general impact on natural resources and its need for gigantic data centers, and also I really have no outstanding need for the technology. But I gave it a spin, and it's OK. I don't intend to use it very much. I have a alternative search AI that works via text message, and I use that for my small questions. But if I ever should need an AI, I'd use the Proton one for its encryption feature.
I did not really want to watch the World Cup match between England and Mexico, as supporting the corrupt organization called FIFA causes me to want to vomit a little. But DW wanted to watch it, and I know she likes sharing these things, so I reluctantly watched with her. I guess it was exciting, but often exciting games are the product of sloppiness. I simply cannot abide all the shoving, pushing, shirt-grabbing, and flopping that the modern game seems to have. The second half was actually watchable, mostly because England, being one goal up, went totally to defense, and Mexico was unable to break through.
The game ended at about 11:00 PM, so both DW and I went up to bed right after the game.
'Til We Meet Again!
