Hey There!
It's 8:05 AM EDT, 71°F, Humidity 77%, Wind 6 mph SW, overcast, AQI 59
The best news this morning is that the project is OVER! As of today, I can start to explore different activities and begin to get some other tasks checked off my to-do list. It's been the longest 5 weeks of my life, and it's a great release to have it done and out of the way.
The day began with a shortened morning routine, as my brother and SIL got up and we spent the morning having breakfast. They took off around 9:30 I'd say. It was a pretty great visit all things considered. Other than the eye incident, we ate well and they enjoyed the region's activities.
I spent a little time on Sunday morning watching the condensed ball game from Saturday, and we sqeaked out another win. I also did some preliminary research for my rotisserie baseball team, looking for free agents and players I needed to activate. Once my brother left I made a bit of a more substantial breakfast for myself, a Canadian bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on one of the bagels he brought up. Then I mostly sat about and killed time while I waited to leave for the last presentation.
The screw-ups continued by my partner, and all I could do was hang on until the end. Once it was over, the crew went for some pizza and beers. I stayed for as little time as was polite, copped a few slices of pizza for DW so she wouldn't have to cook, and headed home, free at last.
Once I got home I settled in for the evening. DW had the pizza, which she appreciated, and I hit the couch for the evening's ballgame. I also made some final decisions on my rotisserie team and submitted them. The game turned out to be a complete disaster and a romp for the opposition. I turned it off around the 6th inning, and tried to find something else to watch, but I was clearly in a daze and a fatigue fog. I stared blankly at some YouTube videos before finally deciding it wouldn't hurt to get to bed. I hit the sack at 10:50 PM, not super early, but slightly earlier than usual.
As I mentioned, it's been a rough 5 weeks, and I'm glad to be through it. Not sure completely what's coming next, but it's gotta be better than what I just experienced. Routine doctor appointments, dentist appointments, shuffling cars about, and maybe a couple of quiet nights on the campground are in order. Just rollin' along, singin' a song.
'Til we meet again!
