Hey There! It's 8:18 AM, 26°F, mostly sunny.

Yesterday was another subdued day. After the morning routine, I set about making sure I had what I needed for the Japan trip conference. Everyone got together at 11:45AM, and we spent an hour hashing out an itinerary. We will be mostly in Tokyo and Osaka, with day trips for other cities in the area. I went ahead and splurged on some lightweight packable clothes, and I might also get a better carryon piece of luggage as well. I have an aversion to spending large sums of money on things I do not think I will use all the time, but I have tried to convince myself that this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I should be as comfortable as I can while traveling. The days of "roughing it" are over. If I can drop pretty large sums on solar power equipment, then I can drop some Hamiltons on this trip.

DW and I watched our football team, which won another heartstopper. DW has been cheering and screaming like a 12-year-old while watching the game. It's quite amusing. She screamed so loud during one play that I got taken aback by it. She apparently has a collection of "gal pals" that she shares memes, gifs, and reactions with throughout the game. Football just doesn't do this for me anymore, so it's rather surprising to see her so completely immersed in the game.

We calmed down after dinner, and she went over a color swatch with me to pick a new color for the kitchen. We are having a lot of miscellaneous tasks accomplished by our hired handyman while we are in AZ, and in fact I have to get him some front-loaded money today. Then I continued to do some more research on Japan in terms of packing and such. While I am not leaving until the end of March, I have to make sure I have everything from home that I need, because I will be leaving from Seattle. So for me the packing for AZ includes packing for Japan.

Dinner was some chicken thighs cooked in the crockpot, with rice and snow peas. A little more research after dinner, with an emphasis on EDC gear I might be able to bring to Japan. Bedtime was 11:30PM.

Today begins the clean-up session to prepare the house for 7 Fishes and Son2 and his girlfriend. Then AZ packing. Hard labor ahead!

'Til We Meet Again!
