Hey There!

Just got the next podcast largely in the can. I'm waiting on one file being created for me by a guy out in LA who does movies. I'll just drop that right in when it arrives.

Yesterday I did spend a good portion of the day preparing my podcast. I had a dental cleaning appointment in the early afternoon. My teeth are pretty bad, according to my long-time hygenist, so she used the ultrasonic cleaner on the left side of my mouth. I left a little sore and irritated, and had to do a salt water mouthwash to ease the irritation and inflammation. I might have to go to a periodontist next spring. This isn't going to get any better. Bad teeth run in my family.

DW made some kind of Egyptian meat pie for dinner. She's always looking for something new to cook and create. It was crispy but a little dry on the inside. But I am always grateful for any kind of food made for me. Paired with a salad it was a fine dinner.

Another evening of baseball and going down the EDC rabbit hole. It may be that I have a bad memory and can't remember one tool from another, but it also seems that not one single multitool really has everything I want. I carry a SAK in my back pocket, but tbh I don't think I'll really use a multitool all that much if I carry it every day. I bought one more just this afternoon because it's sissors-based rather than pliers-based. I think that will be enough to complete the collection for now.

I also went over to my senior tech student today and brought her an Echo Dot I wasn't using. I am beginning to think she needs something to bring her news and information that isn't an iPad. She simply gets lost in the thing. I also think one of her other helpers keeps changing things on it, and she loses track of what she can do. Substack and similar programs simply aren't senior friendly, and many apps have too many choices for seniors to navigate through. Hopefully moving to an Alexa device may minimize this issue for her.

Tonight it's some kind of Greek shripm dish with pasta. Sounds lovely. Then the final weekend of baseball. Playoff season is on the horizon.
