Hey There!
I slept in big time this morning! I didn't wake up until 8:45 AM. I did need two trips to the bathroom during the night, and after the second one I didn't put my CPAP back on. Maybe that's why I crashed so hard!
First thing this morning I went to work on my public-facing blog. There is an event going on this weekend called Sun Day, and it's a weekend of activism as the fall equinox arrives on Sunday the 21st. My contribution is going to be a series of posts on how I use solar power to power my off-grid cabin. I went up today to take some documentary photos to add to the posts. DW came along for the ride, and so we also took inventory of the tasks that need to get done between now and Nov. 1. Nothing DW likes better than making up a list of chores for me to do!
The rest of today is devoted to rest and relaxation, as I've sort of pushed it the last 4 days and need some down time. I might take a ride tomorrow if the weather's good, but I also need to get DW off my back about power washing the front porch. The sooner I get that done, the sooner I won't hear about it anymore. DW has the habit of latching onto things and nagging and nagging until either the chore is done or it's too late in the season. Sometimes she nags me to do things she herself can do. Power washing the front porch, however, is not one of those things. I do not like chores, so often DW has no choice but to nag. That's how it rolls.
Two positive sports events in baseball and football, and on to the end of the baseball season. October brings the playoffs, and it's usually the best baseball of the year. Looking forward to that. I usually don't get into the football season until Nov. I actually don't like football all that much, and if it weren't for the fact that DW likes to watch our regional team, I wouldn't watch at all. Maybe another day I'll rant about the NFL and its predilection for employing violent individuals and hushing up their off-field assaults, but not today. And gambling - gambling will be another rant as well. I'm not a gambler by any means, but I used to participate in office pools and such back in the day. But the onslaught on gambling ads and sites is simply out of control. Just another sign of the bread and circus mentality that will make us all weaker and lead to societal collapse.
