Hey There!

It's 8:33 AM EDT, 67°F, Humidity 88%, Wind 23 mph W, wind/rain

It's a nasty morning. As I write this, a line of thunderstorms seems about to pass by. I believe a sharp temperature drop will follow.

Yesterday after my morning routine, I had an interview with two visual artists who have a local exhibit on display. They were very interesting to talk to. After that interview, I had a coffee break and went on to my second interview of the day, another good discussion. So the morning was spent collecting interviews for my podcast. I was done by about 12:15 PM.

I had a couple of errands to run, so I took off to get some cash to pay the young man who mows my lawn. But I forgot my phone, so I had to go back home and grab it for the QR code so as to return an item to Amazon. I had purchased a 12oz water bottle, but I did not like the opening feature, so I am sending it back. I've ordered two more to see what they are like, and I will return the one I don't prefer. That's how you shop in the 21st century.

The Cleveland-Tampa Bay game had a 1:00 PM start to avoid bad incoming weather, so I tuned in. I am having a hell of a time with my TV constantly dropping frames, so I resorted to watching the game on my laptop. It's slightly inconvenient, but it works. Cleveland won 3-2 in a tight contest. They lead the series two games to one.

I wanted to nap after the game, but I fought the urge a bit because I've been napping a bit more than usual. Instead, I watched the latest Playing with Sticks video, which featured a camper box you could slide onto a utility trailer. The guys who invented this are genius. It weighs only 190 lbs, and no special electric brakes or anything are needed since it's just a box strapped down in a trailer. If I were a younger man, this is what I would buy. I also watched some tent review videos.

DW has been having a hard time with her sister, who has been back and forth between her assisted living space and hospital stays. She's been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, and apparently this is really affecting her mental health. DW's niece doesn't have any idea what to do, and my SIL remains completely disengaged and resistant. We are living in a purgatory of health care at the moment. It is depressing, to say the least.

We had fajitas for dinner, which I enjoyed. Then I settled into the next ballgame, which eliminated the Dodgers from the playoffs - YAY! Milwaukee will be going to the World Series. It was a great game, as LA had a 4-0 lead at one point, but the Brewers relentlessly chipped away for a 6-4 win. It's the first time that a team that was swept in a series the year before came back the next year and returned the favor. Fun baseball. I cleaned up the kitchen after watching a little of the post-game analysis, and went to bed about 11:45 PM.

That's all for now. 'Til We Meet Again!
