Well, the snow fell, but nothing really to write home about. A couple of inches not worth shoveling. The wind, however, is a different story. It knocked over my Honda CT125. I haven't had a chance to inspect the damage yet. That will have to wait until the weather calms down a bit.
We had a fine Thanksgiving meal yesterday. I convinced DW to reduce the amount of sides, and it worked out OK as there was not as much work or pressure. However, I will never trust a meat thermometer again. It read that the turkey was done, but when I went to carve it, the insides were still a little pink. So we popped it back in the oven for a little more time, trying to keep the sides hot. No big deal, and the meal was fine.
I watched the Thanksgiving Day Parade with my DIL's daughter, and then some football. She seems to have become something of a football fan, but her mother says she just likes the halptime entertainment.
We ended the day with pie (pecan, pumpkin, apple), and most people went to bed early. Son1 and I stayed up later to watch some of the Ashes test match and chat. Daughter called from WA and we had a nice chat with her. So on the whole, not too bad a day.
It's still windy and some more snow is expected, but we're warm inside. That's where I'm staying today!
