Hey There! It's 1:17 PM MST, 62°F, sunny
Yesterday was an R&R day, as I spent the day indoors recuperating from my little adventure ride in the desert. I was pretty sore getting up and moving about during my morning ritual, but I managed well enough to get coffee and settle into the news (such as it is).
I really did not do much of anything except rest until about 1PM, when I had an interview scheduled. It was a fun interview, a musical duo that performs the music of Simon and Garfunkel. Nice people. After that I got back into my chair and took it easy the rest of the day. Sometimes it's amazing how fast the day can go without doing anything at all. I did write a lengthy post about my ride on my public blog, and that took up a good chunk of the afternoon.
Dinner was a particularly delicious meal of scallops and a rice pilaf with peas and carrots. DW loves scallops, and we had bought these back in February from the farmer's market. They were supposed to be for today, but DW had defrosted them and decided she couldn't wait any longer, so we had them yesterday. Good call, IMO.
The evening brought the next episode of Star Trek: Academy, and it was one of their better episodes. Still some YA angst, but a little more action. They seem to have dropped Lura the screaming drill sargent for the time begin, which is a good thing IMO. Some popcorn after dinner, and then bedtime at 11 PM. A slow day, to be expected when resting and recovering.
