Hey There! It's 9:13 AM EDT, 72°F, Humidity 69%, Wind 4 mph SW, AQI 140 (unhealthy)
The smoke in the air yesterday was very thick, casting what one might take for an unearthly fog lingering everywhere. Today the sun is peeking through more due to a lack of cloud cover, but the smoke is still there - you can smell it.
Yesterday I managed to get in my morning routine, after which DW made a Canadian bacon and fresh farm eggs breakfast with homemade toast. Good way to start the day. These days I am constantly in recovery mode, so I spent the morning just reading. I took care of a couple of financial matters, moving some money about, and I also spent a little time just cruising for apartments to rent in Son2's city. I believe I will be spending more time there teaching in his studio, and so I might rent an apartment there to have some place to crash rather than having to commute back home right away. Just a thought at the moment.
The afternoon was spent with the project FL who I have come to believe is pretty hopeless. I am resigned to the fact that the project will be OK, passable, but not much more than that. She is a well-intentioned yet hopelessly nervous and high-strung individual. I have a very difficult time being around people who talk a big game but don't deliver in the end.
We presented the project later that evening to an invited audience. It went well enough, but I had to bail her out on at least three different occasions when she had no idea where she was, and when she gave the wrong ending to one of the sections. There was a Q&A afterwards, something I dislike but can see the need for, and then I got home close to 9PM. I did a little bit of mindless internet scrolling, and went to bed in our air-conditioned room at about 11:07 PM.
'Til We Meet Again!
