I am starting today in Huber Heights, OH, some miles north of Dayton. Yesterday I packed up the car, went to a dental cleaning appointment, came home and got DW, and hit the road for this location.
The driving was fine until we reached Columbus OH, where we hit a 20-minute delay trying to get to I-70. Google Maps took us on a backroad adventure for a little bit, cutting through some flat OH farmland. We got to the Hampton Inn around 5 PM.
I had a little trouble ordering dinner online from the chicken place across the street (there are FIVE chicken restaurants within walking distance) so I finally had to call to order dinner. I had a bacon cheeseburger while DW had a marinated grill chicken sandwich, and we split some tater tots. It was all OK.
I listened to the ball game a bit, which I believe the team won, but I didn't finish the whole game. There was a delay from rain at the top. I was very sleepy from the drive, so by 10 PM I was tired enough to go to bed.
