Hey There!
Man, am I fried! I am home, pretty exhausted, trying to spend today recovering from the tour. I'll probably need all of tomorrow as well.
Yesterday consisted of a diner breakfast, a visit to the grave of Johnny Appleseed, a four-hour drive, dinner, a brewery visit, and last night's concert. The group did a tribute song composed by our late brother, and we celebrated by wearing identical T-shirts with another of his song titles. It was a full day. Got about 5.5 hours of sleep, and drove the first leg which brought me home. Bros 4 and 5 headed off to their respective homes as well.
Gotta be honest - I had some fun, but the hardest part was listening to the concerts. The music is not terrible, but it does get loud and sometimes incoherent. And clearly even one beer these days is too much and wipes out too much energy. The good part was making the memories and having stories to tell. That makes it all worth it.
Anyway, back home and starting to figure out what's next. Lots of change seems to be in the wind, but I haven't got everything pinned down yet. Might sell the house and property and move nearer to Son2. That would be huge. I'm very comfortable here and it's very inexpensive, but it might make some sense to re-locate. But that's far in the future. Short term I have to get more interviews lined up for my podcast. And I am involved with Son2 for fall classes. Gotta squeeze in some camping as well. Hopefully these will be the only obligations left before going west for the winter.
